The term Quality Endorsed Company generally refers to a company having a management system demonstrating compliance with the requirements of ISO AS/NZS 9001 or 9002.

Check that the Licence carries the product standard for the product you are purchasing. Check to ensure that the product you are purchasing appears on the suppliers Licence Schedule.

How to Identify a Quality Endorsed Company
The term Quality Endorsed Company generally refers to a company having a management system demonstrating compliance with the requirements of ISO AS/NZS 9001 or 9002 . There are a numbers of certification companies in Australia accredited by JAS-ANZ to issue a licence of accreditation to compliant companies.
Each of these certification companies have their own logo mark which are used to display compliance. The 'Quality System StandardMark'. Is owned by Standards Australia International, they only allow Quality Assurances Services Pty. Ltd. (OAS) to use their StandardMark logo and issue 'Quality System StandardMark licences.
You should note: Other certifying companies logo marks are recognised for Quality Endorsed Company certification. Only companies certified by OAS carry the Quality System StandardMark. Other companies do not.
Customers should also look at the Scope of the Licence to ensure all the elements of interest are covered.
An important point to remember is a quality endorsement of a company, does not by itself, provide the customer with confidence that a product or service will conform to a national or international standard.
WHY?
Because a Quality Endorsed Company recognises only Management Processes
For confidence that a product is manufactured to conform to a recognised national or international standard, Product Certification should be requested/required.
How to Identify Certified Conforming Products
Ask for a copy of the suppliers StandardMark Licence and Schedule. You can also request a copy of this information from QAS.
- Check that the Licence carries the product standard for the product you are purchasing.
- Check to ensure that the product you are purchasing appears on the suppliers Licence Schedule.
If you wish to check the validity of the Licence check the Licence number and schedule details with QAS. (Phone (02) 8206 6000). On receipt of products check for the StandardMark details on the product.
Note: Any company claiming to manufacture StandardMark products should issue a copy of their Licence and schedule to verify the product or the full range of products being purchased is indeed covered by the StandardMark Licencing scheme.
How to Identify Certified Conforming Products

The Certified Product StandardMark appears in a varity of forms, labels, swing tags, embossed, stamped, etc, depending on the type of product. For the StandardMark to be valid the relevant standard number must be displayed along with the licence number.
