The pressing need is for the capture and control of the pollutant at the source. The installation of the "Pollution Source Control Bar" in conjunction with the newly released B. R. Durham & Sons, "Galvanised Bike Safe Grate", has had a significant effect in stopping aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles, cardboard containers, tennis balls, vegetation debris etc, at the source.

You will note that whilst the "Pollution Source Control Bar" stops the ingress of Street litter, vegetation debris and other objects, it does not prevent the flow of storm water entering the drainage system.
